For those of you who don’t already know, TCNJ offers a Practicum in teaching college composition in partnership with Bucks County Community College. Successful applicants should be roughly halfway through our MA program and follow the application process (candidates in the final year of the 5-year MA program are welcome). Supervised and mentored by BCCC’s Director of the Writing Program and the graduate coordinator from TCNJ, students in this practicum actually teach a writing class at BCCC, get 3 credit hours as an Independent Study project toward the MA in English, and also receive a stipend from BCCC. If you are considering teaching at the college level, this is an opportunity to gain experience and see if this is the career you want.
If you would like to be considered to teach at Bucks County Community College this Spring (2014), you MUST apply by October 15th, 2013.
